Despite being large, the apartment's original layout was extremely segmented and lacked natural light. The project seeks to uncover the apartment's potential by revamping it into a light, airy and fluid space.

The highlight of the apartment is the free-flowing social area, providing ease of circulation and natural light in the kitchen, living and dining rooms. The spiral staircase is the only thing that divides these continuous areas, bringing an element of surprise to the composition.

Reconfiguration of the multiple areas enables the blending of various environments and adds flexibility and visual amplitude. A single, wide, and fully openable doorway allows continuity of the living room into the terrace.

The owner's extensive collection of contemporary art was the project's focus, showcasing white as the one colour that tied all the different materials together. Apart from the guest restroom, which is black, lacquered MDF for the wardrobes, the self-levelling floor, sideboards, doors, and bookcases, and sheet metal for the stairs and corresponding railings are all white.
